The Claims Process.
What do Do When You Have a Claim
When you notify us of a claim, we notify your insurer and follow up with you for further information. Please refer to your policy document to review your responsibilities in the event of a claim against you.
If you need to make a claim, follow these steps to ensure everything runs smoothly:
- Safety & Risk Reduction: Depending on the type of incident, think about immediate safety to people, property or others involved.
- Prevent Further Damage: Take reasonable steps to prevent further damage to property, if it's safe to do so.
- Notify Us Promptly: Contact us as soon as possible to report the claim. Provide your policy number and details of what happened.
- Forward Correspondence: If you receive letters from Third Parties, forward them to the claims contact without responding
- Provide Necessary Information: Share any relevant documentation, including receipts, photos, or proof of ownership for damaged or lost items.
- Follow Your Insurers Claims Conditions: This will guide you through claims process.
- Keep Records: Maintain copies of all correspondence, expenses, and evidence related to the claim.
What if I am not sure an incident is a claim?
Not all incidents result in a claim, however it is useful to inform us so that we can privately note the file to record you have told us about an incident.
We’re here to support you. If you have any questions or need further assistance, reach out to our claims team.
