We welcome the publication of “LIFE WORTH LIVING” (link to below report), the Report of the Arts and Culture Recovery Taskforce. Under three main themes of Ensuring Recovery; Building Resilience; & Facing Forward it is a great first step in rehabilitation of the Arts, Culture & Events Sector in 2021.

As a real acknowledgment of the challenges faced, the report outlines key starting points and initiatives for funding to build back up our cherished Arts & Events sector. We particularly welcome aspects such as :

• • A business supports grant scheme for SME’s in the Events Industry
• • Sustaining Local Authority Capacity to Support Arts, Culture, Live Entertainment and Events
• • Making Space for Arts & Live Entertainment to Contribute to National Recovery
• • Providing more Outdoor Public Spaces for Cultural Events

We hope it makes headway so that we can rebuild and thrive, creating cultural experiences and content for Irish audiences and foreign visitors to enjoy in better times.
