Tourism Ireland aims to grow visitor numbers to over 12m by 2020 and a key area of focus is growing festivals, in particular St Patrick’s Festival, Galway 2020, TradFest, Puca, Taste the Island and Wexford Opera. This year they are also developing a campaign around “Green Tuesday” akin to Black Friday to encourage businesses to develop offerings around St Patricks day.
